I arrived on shift just before 9am, I said hello to Fela, he was just finishing up his breakfast. I then took handover from Zoe. After breakfast Fela relaxed and listened to music whilst we cracked on with chores. Fela had his snack at 10.30am and tea. Once finished he used the toilet and then popped his shoes on. We headed out to Astbury Mere and had a lovely walk around, we stopped halfway around and sat whilst Fela had a apple and drink of water. We arrived back home at 12.50, Fela took his shoes off and used the toilet. Fela then had his lunch and supplements. Whilst still sat at the table after lunch Chloe made some cornflake cakes with Fela, he really got into it and was laughing and smiling. Fela then relaxed on the Sofa and was offered a new DVD (Brothers), Fela said “yeah”, so we all sat in the lounge watching the DVD. Fela used the toilet at 15.25, then had his snack at 15.30 and continued to watch DVD. After the DVD had finished Fela requested music so I popped Bob Marley on for him. Claire did the board with Fela and offered him Handle but he refused; she offered a couple of times, but he continued to refuse. Fela the had his Keloids cleaned. Tea was served at 17.50, once finished Fela asked for cake and ice cream. Fela relaxed in the lounge after and listened to music. Fela had foot therapy at 7pm and appeared to enjoy this, but he did appear to have tickly feet! Fela continues to relax listening to music, Claire then offered Fela foot physio or a spa, Fela smiled and said, “pa pa”, Claire got the foot spa for Fela. I then cleaned Felas keloids as he requested. Claire then read a book to Fela (winnie the pooh), he seemed to really enjoy this ad got involved by counting. Just after 8pm, Fela had his snack and tea (calomile). At 830pm Fela had a call off Mama, he appeared alert and engaged with Mama on the phone. Once he had finished the call with mama he made his way to the bathroom and got into the bath, I assisted with his personal care, fela is happily splashing about and relaxing in the bath.
Fela has had a lovely day and has appeared calm throughout the day.
