30/03/2020 – Sleep shift – carla cornelius

Shift Report:

*Sorry this is late. My sleep has been very broken and I’m feeling very drained due to consecutive sleep shifts so I had a lie-in.

Fela arrived at our house just before 21:00. He was in the bath by 21:10 and in bed by 22:25. I did not hear him even when I checked on him 23:30. I decided to wake him up to go to the loo at 2:00 because I did not want him to wet the bed for a third consecutive night. Fela was back in bed by 2:30. I heard him on and off before I fell asleep so not sure how much sleep he had afterwards.

*Ordinarily, I would not wake him up to go to the loo. But under the circumstances of being in a new room which is farther away from the toilet, I sense he does not have the confidence to go to the loo on his own.

I checked on him at 4:15 and this time he got up on his own accord. He was back in bed by 4:30. I decided to close the computer where fireside crackling noises were playing on youtube, and put on church choir music on his phone instead, just in case the computer screen was keeping him awake.

Michael came to check on him at 7:45 and brought him an apple and tea. I checked on him on and off until 8:30 when he finished his tea so I prompted him to lie down until Claire and Emma arrived. They came about 9:10 and greeted him then prompted him to start his morning routine.
