I met claire at felas house then left to go and pick up fela as he had slept at mama and Micheals house. On arrival myself and claire loaded the bags into the car and had handover. Fela then got into the car and we headed to felas house. We arrived back at 9.30 fela removed his shoes and jumper and went to sit in his chair I then did the board with fela and put some music on for him so that he could relax. We then started some chores.
I then went to collect the shopping from Aldi because we were waiting for the district nurse to arrive. The nurse came and redressed felas dressing. Afterwards fela enjoyed his snack at the dining table. He then put on his shoes used the toilet and put on his jacket ready to go for a walk.
We then drove to Longton park fela walked for a good 35 minutes at a very good pace once we had done 1 lap fela wanted to go back to the car. We returned to the car where fela had some fruit and a drink of water.
Once we had returned home fela removed his outdoor ware and went to relax to music in his chair.
Once lunch was ready fela sat down said prayer together and ate neat and tidy. Once he had finished he returned to his rocking chair to listen to some music.
Later on fela enjoyed cutting out different shapes from a piece of vinyl and stuck them to 2 wine glasses. He then chose to do some colouring in. Fela was still sitting at the table when it was his snack time so I prepared his snack and brought it out to him. After he had finished his snack fela went to sit in his chair and listen to music.
Later on we all did some makaton together and claire redid his dressings.
Teresa arrived had handover and started to prepare his dinner. I did the board with fela and give him 5 to relax. I then returned and asked if he wanted to start foot physio. Fela immediately stood up and took himself to the toilet and started to become vocal, so I removed foot physio and handle from the board and he was happy with this.
Dinner was then ready. We all said prayer together and enjoyed the food, Fela ate neat and tidy. After fela returned to his chair where Teresa did the board with fela. Fela immediately tore of the walk so we asked him if he would like to go for a walk which he said no. He then sat listening to music.
Fela took himself to the toilet afterwards where he spent a good 25 minutes asking for 5 everytime we went into him. His mood was very up and down. While fela was in the bathroom he removed his dressings. When fela finally came out of the bathroom he returned to his chair where we gave him time to calm and relax.
