31/03/2021 – Evening shift – zoe holmes

Shift Report:

On my arrival Fela was sitting in the lounge, while having handover Fela became very agitated, rocking back and forth very hard, banging his feet on the floor, clapping his hands, this lasted for approximately 15min, once slightly calmed I gave Fela his board and he removed the handle and foot physio cards, Fela did calm after and the board was updated.
Fela became agitated again and this was on and off until approximately 17.35, Fela would become agitated every time staff spoke to him, rocking, gutteral noises, clapping hands and clicking finger’s, stamping feet.

At 17. 45 we had our evening meal and Fela was full of smiles, he then became agitated again, hitting the table, rocking, very noisy, we left Fela to calm, after Fela had finished he drank his water and then had dessert, Fela again became agigtated, he then went to sit in his rocking chair and was agitated while going to his chair, hitting his hand on the wall, jumping up and down, once calm we went through the board with Fela and then he watched Happy Feet Two.

Staff checked on Fela and each time he asked for five.

At 8pm Fela had his snack and then has a phone call with Mama, after Fela completed his bath routine with Claire and is now relaxing in the bath.
