The men came to fix the patio doors this afternoon – in fact they did more damage thank good! You will see there is no lock barrel the actuating lever is broken and gone and the doors have been declared 'dead'!
There moments in their trying to force the doors with crowbars and other 'breaking and entering' equipment, that I expected the sound of breaking glass – shades of Debbie Harry!!
They have measured the doors and have ordered replacements but will take 2 weeks for the manufacturer to supply. Yes we have massive unemployment at the moment but everything moving at snails pace!
They will update us as to fitting new doors in due course.
