Why does Fela make so much noise orally?

More likely than not, Fela’s noises form part of his self-stimulatory behaviour aka stimming which is typical of those with autism. Ido, author of ‘Ido in Autismland’ was diagnosed with autism and explained that his stimming was a way of entertaining or distracting himself or escaping from a reality which he found overwhelming or frustrating. Stimming also covers other behaviours such as hand flapping or lining up objects.
