Cineworld, Hanley – Choice of Films for Fela Birthday

*This is the first of Fela’s birthday celebrations.

1. ‘Michael’ [Breaking news – yesterday Fela chose to see ‘Michael’ so you only need to take the social story – no need to play trailers  or print poster]
2. ‘Project Hail Mary’

Kindly note:

– If the screen is not located on the ground floor, Fela will need to be to be told he is going in the lift. You can encourage him to press the button.

– A special keto snack will be supplied to Fela before he leaves the cinema to discourage Fela from grabbing a chocolate bar as he did the last time.  Fela cannot have the popcorn at the cinema.

-Please be aware that the open air car park on Bryant Street now operates ticketless system so you will need to punch in the car registration number at the machine before leaving the car park. The coin machine does not always work so please take one of your debit cards just in case you can recover the money from the petty cash later.

*After you have found a spot in the car park, one person go to get the tickets whilst the other person stays with Fela in the car.

To pack:

• authorisation letter from Cineworld allowing two carers to go free.
• cost of Fela’s ticket and ticket for another carer just in case, but  should be allowed both carers to go free.
• change for parking (open air car park on Bryant Street underneath restaurants closest to cinema).
• A special keto snack will be provided for Fela to have on his way home.[This is to distract him from the snacks in the entrance]
• ensure home and toilet cards on small, mobile, plastic TEACCH board kept in glove box of car. [Take into cinema so Fela can choose if he wants to go to toilet or home – he normally signs for toilet]
