After writing the cards each day, please use any extra time to go through Fela’s Communication Book with him. Practise using it with Fela and both members of staff.

Signing Greeting Cards for key people in Fela’s life:

*Please remember to only show Fela one line at a time so he only copies the relevant names on to the relevant card.

Method:

• Read the words on the card with Fela – point to each word as you read on the front, inside and back
• Prompt Fela to write from the print outs on to the inside of the card ‘Dear…(name of person)’ at the top of the inside of the card. fold the print out so he only sees one line at a time.
• Prompt Fela to use a pen to sign his name on the bottom of the inside of the card.
• Well done, Fela!
• Do not seal the envelopes as Carla may wish to add a few words before sealing.
