Sensory Activities: Focus on Foot Spa +  Rainbow lamp  [put away out of Fela’s reach after use]

Method:

Foot spa

• Lay brown floor towel underneath Fela’s feet as he sit on the settee.
• Bring foot spa from upstairs dressing room.
• fill with half warm and top up with some boiled water from the kettle.
• Bring the foot scrub downstairs from transparent box labelled ‘Foot Care’ in corner wardrobe upstairs.
• Squeeze some into Fela’s hands and prompt him to rub into the soles of his feet thoroughly before putting his feet in the foot spa.
• Add 3-4 drops of Tea tree essential oil.
• Assist Fela to turn the dial to start the vibrations.
• Finish after 20-30 minutes.
• Fela can be prompted to wipe his feet on the brown towel.

Pedicure

• Cut toe nails with nailclipper on to paper towel but not too low.
• File the edges of the nails.
• The paper towel can be discarded

All extra essential oils are kept in transparent box in basement pantry.

Recommended:

• foot spa (add 3 drops Bergamot essential oil to warm-hot water) x 30 minutes
