*You can ask Fela if he wants to have fun on the tennis court at the end of your walk around Burslem park – just for 10 minutes. Fela used to go on the court with Mama many years ago.

Tennis drills for beginners:
– practise throwing and catching
– get Fela to watch you both hitting the ball with the racquet to each other over the net.

Remember to:
- ensure shoe laces are tied tight! Try to help Fela tie them tightly rather than tie them for him.
- If it’s very cold, prompt Fela to wear his gloves which will protect his hands but also ensure he can still grip the ropes tightly.
You can also ask him whether he wants to have a go on the tyre swing.
Aim for 40 minutes minimum.
Fela normally goes around once then signs for the car. You can try to encourage him to do 2-3 circuits using different paths by promising him lunch on the picnic bench when he is finished.
