Fela has had a tired and lazy day. Julie and I decided to offer him a choice between a walk in Burslem park, walk at home or the gym. He chose Burslem park. After doing the board with him, we decided to set of around 10:00 before he got too sleepy as he was on a red alert from what Emma handed over.
Fela only walked around the park once and couldn’t be persuaded to go around again. It started raining on our way to the Butcher’s. I went in quickly and we arrived back home just after 11:00. After helping, Fela to get changed into some dry and cool clothes i.e. shorts and t-shirt, and socks removed, Julie engaged Fela in some colouring which he seemed keen to do. They did two colour by numbers pictures with the theme of the Commonwealth Games whilst I cooked sausage casserole and mash for lunch.
I treated Fela to some sorbet after lunch – he chose mango and Julie chose lemon. After lunch, we did the board again with Fela and put down manicure which he had requested earlier and nap as he was beginning to fade fast. Fela began to nod off during the manicure so I made it brief then prompted him to lie down on the settee with the big red, white and blue blanket spread over him. He slept from 13:45 – 15:55 then I checked on him and his eyes were awake so I asked him if he wanted to sit up. He went to the loo, had a bowel movement then returned to the settee and has just finished his snack. He looks happy enough but is being slightly vocal as he is finally looking alert.
