I arrived at Felas house and met Zoe we awaited the arrival of Micheal who dropped Fela off. While we waited I started some chores around the house. When Fela arrived he removed his shoes and jacket and went to sit in his rocking chair. I then put some music on for Fela and did the board with him.
Afterwards we continued the chores while Fela relaxed in his chair listening to ‘Bob Marley’. Fela then put on his shoes and used the toilet ready to go for a neibourhood walk. The walk lasted around 30 minutes. During the walk Fela was offered crisps, fruit and a drink but he did not want any of what was offered, I think he just wanted to get back to the house.
Upon returning to Felas house he removed his bag, coat and shoes. He went to sit in his chair where he chose to watch a DVD ‘The Lion King’. Fela was then quite and relaxed after his walk and no longer vocal.
Fela later became vocal again so we prompted him to the toilet once finished he went to sit back in his seat. Fela was signing for cake and ice cream we told him that he could have this later. He was vocal up until lunch time. He ate neat and tidy then returned to his chair. I then gave him 5 before I began makaton.
Zoe then went in to read Fela a story. While she was reading the story Fela was falling asleep so Zoe set up the room so that he could have a nap on the sofa. Fela then woke and went to the toilet once he had finished in the toilet Fela enjoyed his snack and drink while sat on the sofa where he requested to sit.
At 15.20 Fela got really agitated grunting guttural noises, clapping, rocking and jumping up and down Fela was sweating profusely. His bandages had come loose during this. This lasted around 20 minutes.
Theresa arrived had handover with zoe while I sat with fela.
