1. Night Routine and Sleep
Fela came out of the bath at 9:45 PM. He was supported to dry himself and then brushed his teeth. We proceeded to his room, where he completed his evening routine. He was in bed by 10:05 PM and fell asleep at approximately 10:45 PM.
Fela slept through until 3:02 AM, when he was prompted to use the toilet. After returning to his room, he became very vocal and began rocking. He did not return to sleep afterward.
2. Morning Routine and Challenging Behaviour
At 6:30 AM, I entered Fela’s room and supported him to come downstairs. He was very vocal and began rearranging items around the house.
During his shower, Fela grabbed the handwashing soap and poured all of it onto his flannel. As I attempted to switch off the shower, he became increasingly agitated. I managed to switch it off safely and assisted him in drying.
After handing him his robe, he became very agitated. I gave him space and monitored him through the camera from upstairs. I also contacted KO, who advised continuing to give him space and to monitor his behaviour.
3. Breakfast and Settling
After some time, I returned to check on Fela and redirected him to the dining room, where he began to settle and have his breakfast.
Day staff arrived shortly after, and handover was completed in the kitchen. Carla also called to advise on the day’s planned activities.
At the time of reporting, Fela was in the process of getting dressed for the day.
