Fela was falling asleep in the bath, but he was able to complete his evening routine smoothly. Fela was in bed and lights out by 22:35.
I checked on him at 3:15, and he appeared to be still asleep as there was no sound coming from his room.
I went upstairs to greet him at 7:00. He was lying down but soon stirred and looked calm and happy enough. I prompted him to the loo and prepared his supplement drink and morning refreshments. While he consumed them, we watched ‘Makaton with Lucinda’ for ‘Monday’. Fela watched it with a big smile – he was clearly pleased to see the lovely Lucinda and her amazing Mum. We practised the sign together. Then I read to him from Psalm 27 which he also enjoyed.
Fela did not insist on taking all the cards off and putting them back on the TEACCH board. This was unusual. He entered the shower at 8:25 after a small bowel movement. He signed for porridge with the trimmings just once the entire morning which was also unusual
Fela completed his morning routine well, and was down for breakfast at 9:05. After a lengthy handover with Claire and Dario whilst we waited on Fela to finish his breakfast and supplements, they all left Green Pastures just before 10:00.
*We decided to give Fela white willow bark x 2 caps after breakfast as he appeared lethargic. He is probably still feeling weak as he continues to recover from his cold/flu.
