Fela came out of the bath at 9:45 PM. I assisted him with drying, after which he had a full glass of water and brushed his teeth. Prior to entering his bedroom, I switched off the air conditioner in line with Carla’s instruction for it to be used for one hour only.
We then proceeded with his night routine. Fela was in bed by 10:12 PM. I gave him a massage, switched off the lights, and left the fan on as advised. A flat sheet was used for bedding. Fela fell asleep at approximately 10:20 PM.
He slept through until 2:47 AM when I prompted him to use the toilet; however, he went back to sleep immediately. At 3:07 AM, he woke up and went to the toilet independently. I checked his bed, which was dry. The room remained cool and comfortable, so I did not turn the air conditioner back on. The fan remained on throughout.
Fela was vocal after returning to bed and finally fell back asleep at 5:05 AM.
At 6:35 AM, I went into Fela’s room and gently woke him. I switched off the radio and the fan, and fully opened the curtains. He was offered a glass of water, and we then came downstairs.
Fela did some rearranging around before taking his morning supplements and having a shower. Afterward, he had his breakfast and a cup of tea.
We then went back upstairs, and Fela was supported to get dressed for the day.
I handed over to KO and SS at the end of my shift.
