On arrival of my shift, we received handover from Loretta. Fela was settling in the lounge. The petty cash was counted and signed.
We then prepared for shopping. Fela had his tea before we left. On arrival at the butchers, Fela chose to remain in the car, so I went in to purchase the meat. We then went to Lidl, where Fela again preferred to stay in the car with Marc while I completed the shopping.
After shopping, we went to Tunstall Park for a walk. The weather was beautiful, and Fela appeared to enjoy the walk. He was smiling throughout and was observed touching the trees along the path.
We then returned home, unpacked the shopping, and prepared lunch. We ate together, and Fela assisted with drying the dishes afterwards.
Fela then returned to the lounge while some chores were completed. He chose to watch the film Little Women. The film was paused midway to complete Makaton and reading activities. During reading, Fela appeared very happy and engaged, particularly enjoying the story about turtles as we went through each page.
He was later served his snack, and we completed foot physio together. Esther arrived for her shift, and a full handover was completed.
