I arrived for my morning shift and received a handover from Shahab. We reviewed important updates, and Shahab ensured that the board was updated accordingly. I also checked and signed the petty cash before starting the day’s activities.
After completing the handover, we prepared to go shopping and drove to Lidl. On the way, Fela had his snack and a drink. Upon arrival at Lidl, Fela declined to go inside and chose to remain in the car with Shahab while I completed the shopping. Once done, we proceeded to Burslem, where Fela engaged in a 30-minute walk. He appeared calm and cooperative throughout.
Following the walk, we went to the car wash and then stopped by the butcher to pick up some items. Before heading home, Fela had his lunch while we were still out. Once lunch was finished, we returned home, where we offloaded the shopping and arranged the items in their respective places. Michael was already at home carrying out some repairs during this time.
Later, Mina arrived for her shift, and Shahab provided her with a handover. At around 13:00, Fela requested a nap. The board was updated accordingly, and his room was prepared to ensure he had a comfortable rest.
After some time, we woke Fela up, and he had his snack and a drink. Following this, we engaged in a Makaton session, which was then followed by some education activities at home. Fela participated well and seemed to enjoy the sessions.
Dinner was prepared as the shift progressed, and later, night staff Brandy arrived. I provided a detailed handover, and we checked and signed the petty cash. Before leaving, I waved at Fela, who appeared calm and settled.
There were no incidents to report, and Fela had a positive and productive day.
