Shift Report:
The following are the highlights of Fela’s day:
- He played on tongue drum to George Benson jazz.
- He watched Breath church service on youtube.
- He enjoyed cake bowl lickings.
- He chose to watch T.D. Jakes after dinner, and was really focusing on his dramatic preaching.
- I encouraged him to have a nap in the afternoon before his snack as he was very noisy and excitable which suggested he was overly tired. He rested for 30 minutes but did not sleep.
- We telephoned Nanna Hazel for a brief chat. She was busy so we agreed to talk more another day. Fela blew her kisses before saying goodbye.
- Fela was happy to do some cutting out of pictures of bowls of different dishes from a magazine.
- After dinner, Michael offered him a DVD as I focused on finalising the Activity planner and Menu. He chose ‘Beauty and the Beast’ which he seemed to enjoy.
- At first he was quite noisy so Michael offered him the shoulder massager which calmed him down.
- Fela went to the loo of his own accord at 8:40 where he did an extra large bowl movement with a spot of blood.
- He entered the bath at 21:00 and is currently relaxing. I’m about to go to him to help him finish his routine.
All in all, he has been very vocal today and was signing for food constantly. He is currently obsessed with pasta, pesto and fish and ice lollies.
