Reported for day and evening duty. Brandy gave handover to Mina and me ,and we all signed the petty cash book. Carla called to check on Fela and gave guidance for the day.
We printed Fela’s social story about going to the cinema and read it with him. He looked happy and smiled. We also updated his TEACCH board. Lunch was prepared, Fela had his snack, and we did a 15-minute walk at home with Nick. After that, we got ready to go to the cinema.
Carla arrived and drove us to Cineworld. When we arrived, Carla went to buy the tickets while Fela ate his packed lunch. At the cinema entrance, Carla tried to give Fela his ticket, but he ignored it and went to the reception area. He stood there for a few seconds, then went to the sweets section where he picked up 2 caramel nibbles and ate them.
We watched the movie Michael and everyone enjoyed it. Fela also had snacks during the movie.
After the film, Fela went to the toilet and emptied his bladder. He then pulled out several toilet rolls into the toilet, but we managed to flush them successfully. During this time, Carla got popcorn for Fela to distract him from the sweets section. However, when we reached the main entrance and Carla tried to give him the popcorn, he walked past her and went straight to the sweets section again, taking 5 caramel nibbles. A positive thing was that he placed them on the counter as if he wanted to pay. The receptionist helped by removing 3, leaving him with 2, which he ate.
We then returned to the car, where Fela had walnuts, pistachio nuts, and water, and we drove back home. On arrival, Fela sat on his settee listening to music. Kingsley reported for evening duty, and we gave handover.
