25/04/2025 – Sleep shift – Mercy Kemboi

Shift Report:

Fela completed his evening bath and was out of the bathroom by 9:42pm. He had his sleep mix and brushed his teeth. We then proceeded to his bedroom to complete his evening routine, including applying creams, getting into his nightwear, and setting up his environment for sleep -calming music.

Fela was in bed by 10:13 pm. He settled quickly and fell asleep at 10:22 pm.

Throughout the night, Fela remained asleep with no signs of distress or discomfort.

At 5:12 am, Fela woke naturally. He was prompted to use the toilet at 5:18 am, which he did successfully. After returning to bed, he remained awake, resting quietly but did not return to sleep.

At 6:40 am, we went downstairs to start his morning routine. Fela took his awake supplements as prescribed, followed by a shower. He was supported to complete his personal care routine independently where possible, with prompts and assistance as required.

Following his shower, Fela had his breakfast and was in good spirits throughout. He then dressed appropriately for the day.

Fela spent the remainder of the morning sitting in the lounge listening to music, appearing relaxed and content.

Day staff arrived for the shift handover, which was completed verbally with all relevant information shared. Petty cash was checked and confirmed.

Fela was in a positive and cooperative mood throughout the shift.
