I arrived for the day shift, greeted Fela and received a handover from Marc. Carla was called and updated on how Fela was doing and provided guidance for the day. The TEACCH board was updated and Fela initially chose a walk at Burslem Park. After his morning snack, we got ready to leave, but he declined to go out. We offered him an alternative of a walk at home with Leslie, which he accepted. We did a 15 minute walk. Although he participated, he appeared vocally unhappy throughout. After dinner, Fela was offered a 30 minute nap. When he woke up, he relaxed while listening to music. Carla and Michael dropped by to deliver some items. Later, we did the Makaton signing (functional word for this week) and Fela engaged well. He appeared tired and was dozing off during his foot physio. He also remained vocally unhappy during this time. Dan arrived for the evening shift and I provided a handover. At the end of my shift, Fela continued to appear vocally unhappy.
