Michael and I arrived at the same time, and he brought Grandpa’s card for Fela to write later. As we received the handover from Esther, Fela went to the toilet and had a bowel movement. Petty cash was also checked during handover.
We then began the house chores. Shortly after, Carla called to check on how Fela was doing and shared a few things to be completed during the day to support him. I updated the board accordingly, and Fela was in agreement with all the plans.
He was later served a snack and drink, then sat in the kitchen watching Kingsley bake. Fela requested a nap, so a room was prepared and he lay on the settee in the lounge. Although he rested, he only fall asleep for 10 minutes.
We woke him for a walk in the neighbourhood, which lasted around 40 minutes. Lunch was prepared and we ate together at the dining table. Fela then assisted with drying the dishes before settling in the lounge, where he enjoyed listening to music of his choice.
We also did Makaton together, followed by writing cards and word search puzzle.Later, Fela had a snack and drink, then participated in his foot physio and handles exercise.
Mina arrived for the sleep shift; handover was given and petty cash was completed.
Fela seemed happy and at ease, showing enjoyment in all the day’s activities.
