30/12/2025 – Day shift – Brandy Kahura

Shift Report:

On arrival for my shift, Fela was still downstairs. Loretta handed over to us, and we counted and signed the petty cash. I assisted Fela to get ready for the day while Dan completed the chores.

After coming downstairs, Carla advised that Fela be offered a nap before going shopping. Fela appeared vocally unhappy. He was offered green tea, which he drank, but he declined to take a nap. We then prepared and went out shopping.

On arrival at the shops, Fela insisted on remaining in the car, so I went in to complete the shopping. The butcher’s shop was very crowded, and Fela continued to remain in the car while I collected the meat.

After shopping, we went to Chatterley Whitfield for a walk. Fela appeared calmer during the walk and was smiling as he touched the trees along the pathway.

Upon returning home, Carla and Michael arrived briefly to drop off a few items. They greeted Fela and then left.

Lunch was prepared, and Fela’s clothes were changed. After lunch, Fela was again offered a nap, and he appeared comfortable resting on the settee. Dan later gently woke him and offered him his snack.

After his snack, Fela declined home education but agreed to participate in Makaton. Before the session was completed, he began rearranging items and signed to indicate “finish.”

Fela then completed foot physio. Mina arrived for her shift, and we completed the handover.
