orthotics re-assssment on 09/11/2021

The outcome of the app is the lady we saw today has recommended that they make the insole out of hard plastic and on top of that they will be like a foam topping so it will make it comfortable for Fela to walk on. She said the benefits of the plastic bottom are they will last long and not ware down as quick. Also, she said they are normal a bit finer so they take up less room in the trainer/shoes. which can make it easier to find shoes that will fit Fela comfortably, i did explain to her how it is difficult to find shoes that fit Fela well, also mention bout the trainer begin too narrow for the insole, she did say with new ones they may fit in the trainers as it is as thick.

Asked how long the new insole will take to be made and ready she said a month and made Fela app to go and have them fitted, the app is 7th Dec at 11.30 am. A letter will be sent. If there are any issues with date or time she said jut give them a call to re arrange the app.

In regards of begin able to buy more pairs of the in soles, she asked me why I explained that Fela has 2 pairs of shoes that he mainly uses and will choose between them and depending the weather (to which he wears), she then did go on to ask if we could not just swap the in soles between shoes. I explain that there has been times Fela has picked his own shoes up to put on to go out, and i know there has been times the shoes his put on hasn't got the in-sole in and we even haven't notice until after walk which could make Fela feet very sore or after Fela put his shoes on (If we notice before we leave the house it is not always possible to ask him to remove them again to put in sole in) as this could upset Fela as it would delay the activity or even confuse him and think he not going out. She said when he goes on the 7th Dec if we explain all this then they are likely to make expectation and make another set for Fela so he would get two pairs.
